Himma — Islamic Motivation for Daily Life

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Himma mobile application (“Himma”, “the app”), operated by Abdul Fathah. By downloading, installing, or using Himma, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Himma for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the policies of the app store you downloaded it from.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the app, except as permitted by law;
- use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its related systems.
3. Religious and informational content
Himmaprovides hadiths, Qur’anic and scholarly quotes, prayer times, and related content for inspiration and convenience. While we make reasonable efforts to present accurate content:
- Prayer times are calculated using standard methods and your location; they are estimates and may differ slightly from your local mosque or authority. Please verify with a trusted local source where precision matters.
- Religious content is provided for general benefit and should not be treated as a substitute for guidance from qualified scholars.
4. Intellectual property
The app, its design, branding (including the Himma name and logo), and original content are owned by Abdul Fathah or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Religious texts themselves are not claimed as our property; our compilation, translation, and presentation of them are.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Himmais currently provided free of charge. If paid features or subscriptions are introduced in the future, any purchase will be handled through Apple’s or Google’s in-app purchase systems and will be subject to their terms, including their billing, renewal, and refund policies. Any additional subscription terms will be presented to you before purchase.
6. Third-party services
The app relies on certain third-party services (such as the Aladhan prayer-times API and the app stores). Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Abdul Fathah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any reliance on prayer times or other content.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
